The opportunity
We are seeking a motivated Subcontracts Specialist to join our E-7A Development team in Brisbane to support a range of current and emerging programs.
Responsibilities
In supporting the E-7A Development division, you will be required to:
- Engage with internal stakeholders;
- Manage existing subcontracts and drive subcontractor collaboration to ensure on time performance and compliance;
- Develop sourcing strategies and approaches to market;
- Prepare, negotiate and execute subcontract documentation in accordance with delegations of authority;
- Participate in risk identification and mitigation planning; and
- Ensure compliance with supply chain management corporate governance policies and procedures.
Experience/Qualifications
The right applicant will have a combination of the following competencies:
- Three (3) to five (5) years' work experience in contracts management or procurement;
- Relevant Bachelor's degree in law, business or commerce;
- Effective written and verbal communications skills;
- Good working knowledge of the responsibilities and tasks performed across contracting and procurement and their interdependencies with other departments and disciplines (for example, engineering, logistics, finance); and
- A willingness to work in a team environment.
Eligibility
Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
