Job Summary
The ideal candidate for the Senior Customs Brokerage Dispatch Rep must have experience with producing delivery orders containing the proper information for timely pick up of containers of all types from ocean terminals, rail ramps, exam stations and airlines. Experience in traffic follow up including the production of daily reports to confirm timely pick up and returns to designated locations is also required. In this position, the employee would be researching to obtain best rates for services required. The incumbent will also have experience with US Customs Regulations and import procedures. Position requires resolution of all holds against an entry such as FDA holds, Customs exams, ABI errors or similar type unresolved entry status. In addition, this position will have 4 or more years of customer service or general office experience. This role performs other tasks as assigned by supervisor and or manager.
Responsibilities:
Ability to work independently in prioritizing urgent containers for pickup and delivery
Arrange final delivery of international shipments for all modes of transportation.
Work directly with all customers in a support capacity while maintaining a professional relationship
Advanced office support knowledge and skills usually gained through three years of experience
Familiar with HTS, Customs Regulations and OGA Clearances.
Judgment and independent initiative are required to identify, adapt and apply approaches to solve problems
Work involves performance of routine and non-routine tasks and problem solving occurs as a regular part of the job
Contacts include preparing or coordinating information for individuals within own work unit as well as other functions, departments and companies
Contacts are normally made with limited or no supervision and concern matters requiring explanation, discussion, interpretation or approval
Judgments and independent initiative is required to identify, adapt and apply approaches to solve problems and to interpret policy
Displays ability to manage several accounts, while providing excellent customer service, accurate and timely submission of delivery instructions.
Requires working with logistics carriers; finding the best rates (for both Customer and UPS); working within tight timeline parameters.
Trace all product movement, follow up on all containers/entries to ensure timely freight pick up.
The ability to interact effectively, cooperate, collaborate within a team to effectively manage workload.
Follows up on documentation discrepancy issues which requires the ability to troubleshoot and communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing with customers.
Requirements
Individuals must have satisfied any time commitments in their current product or position
Candidates must have acceptable performance records and no open disciplinary actions pending.
Most recent evaluation should be Solid Performer or higher.
Must be meeting performance goals in current job.
Must not currently be on a Performance Improvement Plan.
Must be able to work holidays and additional hours as needed.

Minimum one year of brokerage experience, four-year degree and/or Customs Brokers Licensepreferred.
ACE/FDA experience preferred.
One year of Air Ocean experience preferred.

The individual who accepts the position must understand their scheduled vacation time is subject to change if their time conflicts with those vacation times already scheduled in the department.
Individual who accepts this job opportunity will be expected to be flexible in assisting with coverage in other departments, during fluctuations in volume, vacation coverage or leave of absence coverage and a required by their management team.
