As an intern, you will make an impact on the company by contributing to hands-on projects and critical business needs. You will own a project from start to finish with a goal to make a real business impact on Sun Country’s operations. Upon successful completion of the summer internship program, you may be considered for employment opportunities within Sun Country.
Essential Functions
EXAMPLES OF HR LABOR INTERN SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBLIITIES (may vary depending on applicant experience and department need)
- Assist with research to support the Sun Country Labor Department in preparation for negotiations and arbitrations governed by the Railway Labor Act.
- Provide general administrative support for filing, organizing, and reporting related to both Labor collective bargaining agreement negotiations and administration.
- Developing current and historical analytics related to Grievance resolution and CBA administration.
- Assist with identifying best practices to ensure continued compliance with CBA requirements.
- Assist with implementing new or amended CBA’s (if applicable).
- Assist with identifying efficient internal processes related to CBA administration.

Qualifications And Education Requirements
- Must be currently enrolled as a part-time or full-time student at a college
- Minimum sophomore status by the time the internship begins
- Proficient in Microsoft Office – Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
- Qualified candidates must pass a criminal history background check
- Able to complete the full 10-week internship program (June-August 2025)
Preferred Skills
- On- or off-campus leadership experience
- Effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Proven project coordination skills with the ability to juggle multiple projects and establish priorities
- High degree of organization, self-motivation and creative thinking
- Preference provided for candidates with interest and education in research, analysis, and negotiation within the Labor industry, particularly the area of airlines and the Railway Labor Act.
Work Environment
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, and filing cabinets.
