The Role
As the Head of Intelligence and Security, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. From day one, you will make a positive impact and you will be accountable for the provision of subject matter expertise for a major Electronic Warfare-focussed project.
Day-to-day, you’ll be responsible for a team of multi discipline individuals covering various contract supporting numerous customers. The role supports both UK and International sites making this dynamic and varied.
- Build collaborative working relationships with customers, partners and other stakeholders.
- Harness the collective talent these organisations and our own growing Electronic Warfare capability.
- Apply your expertise to guide this highly capable team through smooth, successful contract delivery.
- Directly support our strategy to expand our extensive capability providing support to Partners Across Government (PAG).
- Accountable for the development of bid strategies, planning budgets, activities (development and execution), achieving delivery milestones and exceeding our growth targets in the Cyber and Electro Magnetic Activities (CEMA) space.
This role is full time, 37 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements with 3 days in the onsite and 2 days working from home.
Essential Experience of the Head of Intelligence and Security
- A background in leading successful project and programme delivery within a Defence and/or Partners Across Government environment.
- A strong background and understanding of the Joint Cyber and Electro Magnetic Activities environment and experience of operating with and understanding the needs of Partners Across Government.
- A good understanding of the defence domain, preferably with experience in Maritime Electronic Warfare and Naval Combat Systems.
- A track record of developing and nurturing key stakeholder relationships (both internal and external) to achieve results.
- Commercial acumen within a complex project delivery environment (including, profit and loss accounting, forecasting and Earned Value Management, contract oversight, and the identification and management of benefits and risk).
- A demonstrable appetite for business growth, capability development and leading teams.
Qualifications for the Head of Intelligence and Security
- Degree qualified (or equivalent) in relevant technical or management discipline.
- Holds, or has the potential to achieve, Chartered membership of an appropriate professional association or institute.
- Recognised project management qualifications, ideally accredited by the Association for Project Management.
- A full passport and driving license.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Enhanced Developed Vetting (EDV) security clearance for this role. However, you will be able to start with Developed Vetting (DV), but you must be able to achieve Enhanced Developed Vetting (EVD) in post.
