The Role
You’ll join the Platform Engineering Team, where you will own and deliver tasks that ensure submarines and submariners go to sea safely. Undertaking electrical engineering investigation, design changes and associated project management.
What you’ll do:
- Conduct technical investigations and analysis.
- Apply engineering knowledge to produce technical solutions and documentation.
- Ensure compliance with procedures, codes, and standards.
- Plan, deliver, and monitor assigned tasks and projects.
- As and when suitable, you will provide support and mentorship to less experienced team members.
What you’ll need:
- Degree qualified in Electrical Engineering or level 4 or 5 qualification (HNC/HND) in an appropriate engineering discipline would be considered where augmented with demonstrable experience across control, instrumentation, and electrical disciplines.
- Hold or be willing to work towards, professional recognition with an appropriate engineering institution.
- Ability to work independently, challenge ethe status quo and make judgements based on incomplete information.
- Strong communication skills and ability to converse at all levels.
