Programme Description
Typically, your placements will consist of 3-6 month rotations across Products & Programmes. This includes the opportunity to do a 3 month external placement elsewhere in the business. The graduate scheme will give you the opportunity to build on your technical knowledge and also develop soft skills through opportunities which a direct entry position may not be able to. In conjunction with the Products & Programmes Management Team and the Early Careers Team, you will have the opportunity to input into the design of your training scheme to include placements which give an insight into the complete Product Life Cycle and business operation.
Key Responsibility Areas
The Project Management Business Graduate role can be incredibly varied. Workload has previously included (for both domestic & International markets);
- Supporting Project Management in the co-ordination of all other departments to ensure that a project /programme goes through all of it’s Life Cycle stages successfully, while managing the Schedule, Cost, Risk and Quality of the project /programme
- Developing the product roadmap for various Aircraft platforms, to continue the development of the Aircraft
- Supporting project managers with consulting on bids and proposals for Aircraft future sales
- Working on Aircraft programme/s through its multiple phases, including the build and flight test phase, design definition, procurement phase and delivery to the customer
- Supporting aircraft deliveries and other contract deliverables
- Project Management Organisation (PMO) support
- Supporting the Project Management team with stakeholder management, both internally & externally to our customers, suppliers and many more.
There will be opportunities to visit customer facilities on a domestic & International basis.
Working with world-leading specialists, you will increase your technical skills and capability, and develop your academic and practical understanding of the diverse world that is the aerospace industry.
A role in project management will provide exposure to all elements of the Leonardo business life cycle, from contract bidding, through programme execution, training, delivery and through life support.
What We Need From You
Minimum 2 2 Bachelors or Masters in Engineering Management, Economics or Business-related subject.
Desired Skills
- Motivation and confidence to work in a dynamic programmes environment
- Works well in a multi-disciplined, cross-functional team.
- Good communications skills at all levels, both written and verbal
- Proficient in the use of MS Office software suite including Project
- Experience of SAP
- Understanding of the Aerospace domestic/International marketplace
