What you’ll do as Head of Technical Service Management
Key Accountabilities
- Manage, motivate and develop the team, ensuring members effectively priorities work and time to deliver service stability and service performance
- Guarantee tight deadlines will be met by planning and prioritising work efficiently
- Ensure effective communication with Digital Solutions, business and project stakeholders
- Monitor service delivery for all Digital Solution services to ensure achievement of expected service levels.
- Support the UK / DS business strategy ensuring that delivered services are aligned and provide true value to the business.
- Report on the consolidated Tech Ops cost base
- Report on consolidated risk position across Tech Ops
- Use expert knowledge to identify risks and identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Ensure control of services to ensure efficient use across the Digital Solutions estate
What We Need From You
- Proven experience in a leadership role in technical service management or a related field.
- Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
- Experience in managing and improving service delivery processes and workflows.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on driving process improvements and optimizing service delivery.
- Proven track record of effectively managing teams and developing talent.
- Experience in managing relationships with external vendors and service providers.
- Broad technical knowledge and understanding of services supported within scope of Service Operations.
- Clear understanding of business functions and the impact of DS services and Service Operations to these functions, ensuring effective decisions for the business.
- Experience of creating and implementing policy and guidance
- Ability to engage and influence key stakeholders.
- Ability to manage internal and external issues to deliver the business outcomes
