The Opportunity
Boeing Defence Australia's Helicopter Aircrew Training System (HATS) Program is responsible for the development and support of the Australian Navy and Army Joint Helicopter School, featuring brand new aircraft and a suite of synthetic training devices.
We are now recruiting for an Aerospace Worker, specialising in Aircraft re-fueling activities to help us deliver this premier Australian Defence Force training capability.
Role is based in Nowra, on the NSW South Coast. Located on the banks of the Shoalhaven River, Nowra is a major focal site of the Shoalhaven region known unique character with a spectacular natural environment, growing population and bustling economy. On the doorstep of the pristine waters of Jervis Bay, the Shoalhaven's beautiful natural environment plays a central role in the quality of life of the local community.
This is your opportunity to help create the next generation of Navy and Army Aircrew.
Responsibilities
- Re-fueling of Aircraft;
- Carrying out daily, weekly and monthly checks of re-fueling equipment;
- Assisting with the maneuvering of aircraft;
- Generic workshop assistance;
- Assistant tradesperson activities in support of the site and other projects as directed; and
- Supply-related tasks as required including packing, transportation of goods and general warehousing activities.
Experience/Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal skills;
- Ability to manage competing priorities in a high tempo operating environment;
- Competence in using technology;
- Experience working in a safety critical environment;
- Aviation experience in re-fueling and assisting in the maintenance of aircraft (desirable).
