Our Protected Vehicles (PRV) team works closely with clients to design, manufacture, maintain and upgrade protected vehicles that keep people safe, all around the world. Our state-of-the-art workshops are set up to help us deliver Hawkei and Bushmaster military vehicles to strict defence standards – and set our people on rewarding career paths.
Working from our Bendigo site on Dja Dja Wurrung land, this position reports to the Director of PRV and is responsible for managing the portfolio of local projects involving our Bushmaster and Hawkei products, both in Australia and internationally as needed.
As Site Executive, you will drive safety, quality, and performance while nurturing a proactive and inclusive culture.
Responsibilities:
Champion zero-harm safety practices and a positive reporting culture.
Lead site operations, enhancing staff engagement and cultural transformation.
Manage PRV project portfolios, ensuring alignment with capability roadmaps.
Foster a Continuous Improvement mindset and effective issue management.
Support acquisition strategies and customer relations to boost business growth.
Implement robust HSE systems for a safe work environment.
Ensure compliance with all product and service standards.
Develop KPIs and performance metrics to track success.
On day one in this role, we'll expect you to bring the following skills, experience and behaviours:
Tertiary qualifications in business or engineering, or relevant experience
Proven leadership in a complex matrix style organisation, ideally in Defence
Experience in driving change management initiatives that enhance operational efficiency and adaptability
Strong strategic thinking skills to identify and implement forward-looking solutions that align with business objectives
Background in managing complex projects and diverse customer engagement
Ability to inspire and motivate teams through transitions, fostering resilience and a growth mindset
Familiarity with modern leadership frameworks that promote agility and collaboration within diverse team
Excellent communication and governance skills
