Job description:
Changi Airport Group (CAG) is looking for a dynamic and experienced professional to lead our service training arm. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in growing the service training arm, with a focus on developing and facilitating impactful learning experiences, charting the business strategy, as well as research into next generation service innovations. This position offers a unique opportunity to build thought leadership for CAG, deepen engagement with the public and airport community.
This is a both a leadership and execution role. As such, you must be comfortable in managing multi-stakeholders, presenting to a large audience and senior management engagement. In addition, you should possess a sharp acumen in business development, fluent salesmanship and effective project management skills. Ideally, the successful candidate will have experience in operationalising an Approved Training Organisation (ATO) or played a leadership role in an established ATO.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning & New Business Development
- You will regularly review the market demand to ensure that the programmes are attractive, up-to-date, and priced competitively. For new programmes and courses, you will take lead in determining the optimal pricing strategy and target groups.
- You will work closely with a team to devise marketing & communications plans to drive revenue growth for various categories.
- You will be supported closely by a team to conduct regular competitive benchmarking and performance analysis, to identify key sales drivers and detractors. • You will take lead in providing guidance in the target markets to focus sales efforts on.
- You and the team will lead all prospecting of potential clients and the resultant account management and partnerships.
- You will chart the strategic direction and future plans for the service training arm.
- You will establish and ensure compliance to policies, procedures and processes in all aspects of the service training arm.
Learning Content Development & Facilitation
- You will lead the development of new learning content (from short classroom sessions to workshops to multi-day course), as well as identify potential partners (e.g. educational institutions) that the service training arm can co-develop new content with.
- You will regularly review the existing learning content to ensure it is kept updated and matches market demands.
- You will lead training and maintain oversight of the in-house facilitators and adjunct trainers to ensure the quality standards of facilitation for all programmes are kept to the highest level as expected of CAG.
- You will ensure that clients’ learning objectives are adequately met through the programmes delivered.
Skills Required / Qualifications:
- Diploma in Design and Development of Learning for Performance (DDDLP) or its equivalent
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in course development and course facilitation for adult learners
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills to work effectively with internal and external stakeholders
- Able to work independently with high initiative, drive, and determination to succeed
- Proactive, hands-on and problem-solving attitude
- Good command of English is essential; both written & spoken
- Experience in operationalising an ATO or played a leadership role in an established ATO will be advantageous
