Responsibilities
Our state of the art investment casting facility in Wichita Falls, Texas is seeking an Supply Chain Technician to join our team. Nestled halfway between Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas and Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, our facility in Wichita Falls supplies jet engine components to some of the most trusted names in the Aerospace industry.
Job Summary
Work with internal resources to understand HWF’s demand for ceramic cores and other materials. Work with internal and external suppliers to facilitate timely delivery of ceramic cores and other materials. Facilitate delivery call with suppliers. Monitor and control inventory levels. Arrange for documentation/disposition of nonconforming core material. Must be able to adapt and respond quickly to rapidly changing situations.
Essential Functions
- Analyze requirements
- Provide forecasts to suppliers and HWF personnel
- Order materials and communicate with suppliers regarding delivery issues
- Communicate with HWF personnel regarding requirements and delivery status
- Communicate with and support core crib personnel
- Complete annual physical inventory of ceramic cores
- Highly organized
- Microsoft Outlook and Excel experience
- Ability to travel periodically to supplier’s facilities and Howmet’s Acuna facility.
- Comply with all site required policies and procedures including but not limited to: EHS, Quality, Code of Conduct and the Wichita Falls Employee Handbook
Job Responsibilities
- Analyze production requirements and place orders with suppliers
- Communicate with HWF planning group, engineering, and accounting regarding ceramic core needs or issues
- Support core crib personnel with any issues that arise
- Communicate with Business Unit technical and purchasing personnel regarding ceramic core issues
- Facilitate calls with suppliers regarding HWF orders and forecast, as well as suppliers’ planned shipments and any issues they are having
- Communicate with HWF’s Acuna facility regarding ceramic core receipts, quality, and prep
- Track supplier on-time delivery and expedite when necessary
- Provide financial forecast information regarding planned purchases and consumption
- Provide monthly reports regarding
- Maintain minimum inventory levels while not impacting Wax’s ability to input
- Facilitate the annual physical inventory count of ceramic cores and related products
Additional Responsibilities
- Assist production planners with inventory, shipments, and other duties
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
- This position entails access to export-controlled items and any employment offers are conditioned upon an applicant's ability to lawfully obtain access to such items.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Intermediate Excel skills
- Proficient in Microsoft office suite.
- Prior purchasing or inventory control experience
- Self-motivated with a passion for learning
- Experience with Howmet’s OHCMS applications
- Experience with Howmet’s Oracle-based EBS applications
