The Role: Machinist
Join Our Team in Rydalmere: We are seeking a skilled Machinist to join our Acoustics Manufacturing Team. Your role will involve operating machining equipment to produce sonar parts for our assembly lines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate machines to machine production parts to tolerance.
- Set up machines for machining tasks.
- Perform machine safety checks and routine maintenance as required
- Ensure our daily production requirements are met
- Maintain machine and area cleanliness.
- Conduct quality checks and complete production documentation.
- Identify and report equipment failures/defects.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings to manufacture components.
- Willingness to learn new equipment
Your Skills:
- Relevant tradesman qualifications - Trade experience in Fitting & Machining or Toolmaking.
- Proficient in setting up and operating machining equipment
- Experience with CNC machinery and basic programming.
- Ability to perform machine maintenance and fault finding.
- Effective communication and teamwork skills.
