About your next challenge as Specialist, Program Scheduler:
The Specialist, Program Scheduler will be responsible for developing and maintaining plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas. Communicates within and outside of the organization to explain and influence changes to practices, processes and approaches. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. May manage projects or processes with general supervision. May be responsible for entire projects or processes within job area. May be responsible for providing guidance, coaching and training to other employees within job area.
What You Will Do:
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Project or equivalent, Milestones Professional and Microsoft Office;
- Perform regular analysis of program schedules to evaluate program and enterprise-wide resource needs through the integration of all program schedules including metrics on schedule status, critical path analysis, schedule variance analysis, network logic validation and program baseline maintenance including support of Earned Value Management performance metrics;
- Demonstrated Experience on programs with responsibility for development and execution of the Integrated Master Schedule (IMS), including setup, baseline management and update, schedule analysis, critical path analysis, Schedule Risk Assessment (SRA), and CDRL deliveries;
- Develop integrated master schedules using Statement of Work (SOW) and Work Breakdown Structure (WBS);
- Performs schedule analysis in support of assigned programs or projects, including Critical Path and Driving Path Analysis, Schedule Variance analysis, and “What if” analysis;
- Ensures major projects and program schedules and plans are integrated across company functional groups including finance, engineering, material, manufacturing, and quality;
- Tracks plans and schedules, performs risk analysis, identifies and resolves critical path and network logic conflicts. Utilizes Gantt, PERT, milestone charts, earned value management and other project management techniques to gauge progress and identify performance variances to facilitate focus and intervention on critical areas;
- Analyze and review subcontractor schedules and integrate subcontractor schedule requirements into the integrated master schedule;
- Ensures compliance with internal program procedures and project control system guidelines;
- May lead or participate in scheduling status reviews;
- Schedule health metrics (e.g. DCMA 14- Point assessment; DCMA EVMS Compliance Metric (DECM) and Schedule Metric Analysis – such as BEI, CPLI, SPI, etc.;
- Familiar with COBRA interfaces, change control processes, rolling waves, CDRL deliverables and Integrated Baseline Reviews (IBR);
- Interfacing and managing relationships with Domestic and International customer;
- Ability to travel 10% of the time.
Required Skills and Experiences:
- Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through a combination of education and experience. May have practical knowledge of project management :
- Bachelor’s Degree with four (4) years of prior program scheduler experience.
- Graduate Degree with two (2) years of prior program scheduler experience.
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of eight (8) years of prior program scheduler experience.
- Experience with Integrated Program Management Data and Analysis Report (IPMDAR).
Eligibility Criteria:
- Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada Reliability status and Secret Level 2/NATO Secret security clearance;
- Must be eligible to meet the requirements for U.S. International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
