Reporting to the Manager, Cabin Interior and Maintenance Programs, this position will manage the Cabin Maintenance Program PUB 343 and be responsible for the development, compliance, and adjustments of the program. This role will also be responsible for any program updates by monitoring the performance of the program versus the result (Audit/Aircraft Condition result)..
This role will also design, build and manage the Cabin Maintenance Program to address condition and functionality that stands alone from the 864 manual tasks.
Responsibilities:
- Consistently review the Cabin Maintenance Program to develop and implement innovations that minimize time, labour and materials cost.
- Responsible to maintain cabin condition standards and functionality through the variable Cabin Maintenance Program on the Air Canada fleet.
- Establish and coordinate Cabin Maintenance Program priorities with the system configuration group by creating Maintenance Specification Change (MSC).
- Develop the Cabin Maintenance Program to encompass the complete Cabin condition for its full life.
- Monitor and track the compliance of the Cabin Maintenance Program.
- Ensure any regulatory requirement changes or recommended improvements are implemented into the Cabin Maintenance Program.
- Analyze the cabin Minimum Equipment List (MEL) report, triage defects and report findings.
- Perform cost estimate on potential projects and initiatives as required.
- Perform technical aircraft cabin interior condition inspections based on commercial standards to support new aircraft introduction or project.
- Responsible for the Cabin Maintenance Program Publication 343.
- Produce audit report, identify parts requirements and technical support for the resolution of the defects to meet the cabin standards.
Qualifications
- Technical post secondary education and / or external / internal management development, an asset.
- Minimum 5 years of Cabin interior product knowledge.
- Analytical skills and ability to coordinate details for a successful implementation.
- Ability to develop/write clear, concise technical descriptions, instructions, work programs, reports and correspondence including updating technical data systems.
- Ability to create, update and close maintenance defects. Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others.
- Strong sense of initiative in taking appropriate action and sound judgment.
- Ability to deal effectively with internal/external customers.
- Ability to travel outside the country.
- Demonstrated leadership skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- High energy level, self-starter and works well without direct supervision.
- Knowledge of Microsoft program (Access, Excel, Word, Project).
- Knowledge of AutoCAD program an asset
- Knowledge of AC Maintenance program, an asset.
