The role
The Level 4 apprenticeship program is a work-based learning program designed to develop your knowledge and technical competencies in Data Protection and Information Governance as well as your professional skills, and behaviours in technology functions or wider business areas. You’ll work closely with the Data Protection Manager and your primary responsibilities will include monitoring and responding to data protection enquiries; administration of subject access requests, including data searches, filtering and redactions; updating the data breach log and support with investigations and reporting; contributing to the development of new data management processes and procedures; investigating data protection complaints and incidents from internal and/or external stakeholders.

You’ll have the ability to work as part of a team, as well as the ability to use your own initiative. You’ll be able to demonstrate a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methods. You’ll have a genuine interest in data privacy and the secure handling of information with an interest in reading, interpreting and applying legislation. You’ll have a good attention to detail and the ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines. You’ll have strong communication skills including proven computer literacy skills including the use of Office365 (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, OneDrive, SharePoint).
Minimum Requirements
Government funding requirement states you’ll must live in England and have the right to work in the UK. Apprentices must already have at least 5 GCSEs (or equivalent) at Grade 4 or above, including Maths and English, to be eligible.
