Job Title: Supply Chain Director – Strategy

Salary: £110k+ with executive level benefits including bonus and car allowance
What You’ll Be Doing
- Oversee the Supply Chain Strategy team, identifying opportunities to enhance value across Programmes and the wider sector
- Collaborate with the Head of Supply Chain Excellence to design and implement an end-to-end supply chain capability framework
- Implement supplier and category strategies that align with business and sector requirements for effective sourcing
- Build a sustainable supply chain by establishing a supplier relationship programme and engaging key partners
- Engage with SDA Customers, the Maritime sector, and suppliers to align strategies and enhance sector collaboration
- Drive Programme Strategies for business growth and affordability initiatives, ensuring alignment with objectives
Your Skills And Experiences
- Proven leadership experience in senior roles within supply chain management
- Broad expertise in various functions, including project management, operations, commercial, and engineering
- Skilled in leading and managing cross-functional teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute complex, strategic market and supplier strategies
- Experienced in collaborating with senior-level internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and customers
- Proficient in translating complex data analytics into actionable strategic solutions for the business
- Experienced in implementing sophisticated contracting solutions
- Expertise in executing category management strategies
- Familiarity with the maritime sector and corporate enterprise environments
- Flexible in working effectively at both operational and strategic levels across the organization

The Supply Chain Team
This is a unique opportunity to work within the Maritime Sector, particularly in the Submarine enterprise, ensuring a robust and sustainable supply chain for highly complex programmes, including the long-term AUKUS initiative, which spans 30-50 years. The role also presents future growth opportunities in other areas, such as Air and beyond. With 60% of the Submarine design value linked to the supply chain, there is significant potential to drive substantial impact and add considerable value. We offer relocation support packages across all Submarines roles, subject to meeting eligibility criteria.
