A successful QHSE Lead will Support the QSHE department to ensure that dnata delivers service standards in accordance with the expectations and drive continuous improvement. Responsible for day-to-day administration of the Quality Assurance activities in collaboration with safety, operations, and support functions.
The goal is to provide QHSE guidance and support the operation in order to maintain and continually improve the organization safety culture and performance.
Responsibilities
Quality
- Ensure documentation and compliance with the dnata Global Standards (dGOM, dCOM and dnata way).
- Perform and complete Task Compliance Checks in accordance with the quarterly targets.
- Complete weekly Quality Inspections on operational and non-operational activities for adherence to internal requirements.
- Initiate and complete the management of change process for new changes within the organization.
- Conduct regular Customer Airline Service Level Agreement (SLA) Checks during live operations and provide a report of the non-compliance.
- Control of external documents (Customers GOM, IATA manuals, regulations) to the current version.
- Communicate the revisions of the customer airline procedures to the operational teams as applicable.
- Participates in shift briefings and drives compliance based on the non-compliance reports.
- Assist in conducting internal auditing (planning, execution, reporting and corrective actions).
- Follows up of the assigned corrective and preventive actions for conducted audits.
- Maintain effective communication and relationships with applicable regulatory and certification bodies, on matters concerning compliance.
- Provide support for second party and third-party audits (Regulatory Authorities, Certification Bodies and Customer Airlines).
- Support implementation of dnata way strategy and group initiatives as part of dnata HQ centralized standardisation.
Health
- Facilitates the provision of first aid or medical aid to staff and reporting any related incidents.
- Performs random Monthly Alcohol Tests and where necessary under suspicions alcohol/drug tests.
Environment
- Collect the environmental data from applicable environmental companies or vendors.
- Update the monthly environmental data into the monthly reporting template/tool.
Safety
- Complete weekly incident misclassification of reported incidents
- Completes incident investigation reports for Safety/Security and Quality Incidents.
- Prepare and conduct the monthly Quality and Safety Board Meeting.
- Complete risk assessments for operational/non-operational activities with identified risk i.e. at risk behaviours and conditions.
- Perform operational oversight as instructed by line manager on flight operations, to identify unsafe acts/ conditions.
- Ensure that safety briefings/ stand downs are conducted as required i.e. HQ Safety Campaign or post incident action.
- Provide a weekly STOP observations report to the management, identifying the focus areas for the week.
- Deliver Monthly Safety Training to the team.
- Complete the safety workplace inspections on operational work areas.
- Coordinate and conduct the Monthly FOD Walks.
- Assist in performing the activities of the key components addressed in the dnata Safety Management System (dSMS).
- Ensure safety of staff that they have the skills, knowledge, and confidence to work safely by providing support, directions, being a role model for the desire safety behaviours and leading with safety.
- Comply with all relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures, and control to ensure a healthy and safe work environment.
Requirement
Diploma and 4 years of job-related experience OR Bachelor's Degree and 3 years of job-related experience
