Boeing Canada Operations Ltd. is seeking
Aircraft Mechanic, reporting to the Senior Maintenance Manager and Chief mechanic working out of the
Petawawa facility. The
Aircraft Mechanic will to join the existing team of mechanics supporting the CH47 Phase Inspections in support of our customer, 450 THS, Canadian Airforce.
Position Responsibilities:
- Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes.
- Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
- Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components.
- Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
- Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
- Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 4+ years of aircraft maintenance experience required, preferred on CH47 platform
- Must have one of the following: Transport Canada Civil Aviation (TCCA), Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME), Avionics Technician (AME-E) licensed or Military equivalent
- Must be legally able to work in Canada
- Must consent to Canadian Government Controlled Goods Program (CGP) assessment
- Individual must not pose a risk for safeguarding of controlled goods
- Must be eligible for Secret Level II security clearance
- Must be eligible to handle US export-controlled data
Preferred Qualifications (Education/Experience):
- Post-secondary education
- Have successfully completed a formal, CH147 type training course related to their aviation specialty taught by an acceptable training organization
- Knowledge of Royal Canadian Air Force Electronic Record Keeping System (ERKS) or Defense Resource Management Information System (DRMIS)
- Active Secret Level II Security Clearance
Typical Education and Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Relocation:
Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.
Additional Information:
This requisition is for a locally hired position in Canada. The employer is Boeing Canada. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in Canada. Benefits and pay are determined by Canada and are not on Boeing US-based payroll. This is not an expatriate assignment.
Starting salary will be based on qualifications and experience. The range for this classification is $80,000-$93,000 annually. This is a full-time opportunity that provides full company paid benefits, and a retirement savings plan.
This position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance Level II from the Canadian government. Requirements to obtain a secret security clearance can be found at:
