The Opportunity
We are looking for a skilled Work Management Coordinator to support the P-8A Poseidon, a premier airborne intelligence, surveillance, maritime patrol, and response service. As part of the Work Management Team, you will assist in the planning and monitoring of Engineering work within the P-8A Sustainment Program, based at RAAF Base Edinburgh.
The primary focus of this role is to enhance the operation of the Enterprise Work Management System within the P-8A Program:
- Capture and prioritise Engineering tasks based on customer and internal business needs.
- Allocate Engineering work packages to relevant Engineering teams and track them to completion.
- Identify and manage issues affecting Engineering task delivery.
- Provide accurate reports on work in progress and task backlogs.
- Support the forecast of future workload and resource needs.
Responsibilities
- Support the management of engineering tasks using the Work Management System.
- Enhance the operation and continuous improvement of the Work Management System.
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders to ensure their goals are reflected in the prioritization of Engineering work.
- Collaborate with Program Engineering Delivery Leads to understand and incorporate work capacity constraints into the Work Management System.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for the Work Management System and task management tools.
Experience/Qualifications
- Familiarity with engineering task planning and management.
- Strong coordination skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Good communication skills with the ability to negotiate with internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience with task management tools like Jira and Confluence is highly regarded.
- Applicants must be Australian citizens to meet Defence security requirements (NV1).

About The Team
The Work Management Team (WMT) is responsible for prioritising, allocating, coordinating, and communicating the status of work executed by the P-8A Sustainment Enterprise, in line with Boeing Defence Australia's Program Management Best Practices. We are a small and close-knit team that works within a bigger team to support the P-8A Enterprise.
