Johnson Service Group (JSG) is recruiting for an entry-level,
Mechanical Engineer, for a 12-month contract assignment supporting the Hanford Waste Treatment Plant near Richland, WA.
This
onsite/hybridrole offers a W2 hourly base rate with time and a half for overtime, per diem, and mobilization / demobilization. Our client is targeting $40.00 - $45.00/hour for this role.
U.S. Citizenship is required.Project Overview:We are designing and building a one-of-a-kind facility that will turn radioactive and chemical waste left over from World War II and Cold War plutonium production into a form safe for disposal. The Hanford VIT Plant is located 22 miles northwest of Richland.
This
entry-level position will require at least three days of in-person attendance per week at the assigned office or project. Weekly in-person schedules will be determined by the individual and their supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Assists in the design, development, modification, and evaluation of mechanical components and processes utilizing relevant engineering design standards and guides.
- Compiles, adjusts, and correlates data that will develop professional work knowledge and abilities through the application of standard mechanical engineering techniques.
- Provides direct support to other engineering disciplines for mechanical related matters.
- Researches, designs, develops, and evaluates mechanical components, products, and systems by using applied mechanical engineering principles.
- Coordinates development and presentation of material when requested.
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and background check.
- Must be able to obtain a Department of Energy badge for access to the Hanford Site.
