Synopsis
As a Data Scientist your primary responsibility is to utilize data to improve various aspects of the airline's operations. You'll apply advanced statistical and machine learning techniques to develop AI-driven solutions aimed at enhancing efficiency and customer experiences. Your role involves analyzing data, predicting trends, and optimizing processes across different operational areas, contributing to incremental improvements in the airline's performance and competitiveness.
Accountabilities
Data Analysis and Modeling: Conduct in-depth analysis of large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and identify actionable opportunities for improvement.Algorithm Development: Design, develop, and deploy cutting-edge predictive models and algorithms that address key challenges and opportunities within the aviation industry.Optimization and Automation: Continuously refine and optimize machine learning models to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability, while also exploring opportunities for automation to streamline processes and reduce manual effort.Collaboration and Innovation: Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including software engineers, aviation experts, and business stakeholders to co-create innovative solutions that address real-world challenges and deliver tangible business value.Research and Development: Stay abreast of the latest advancements in data science, AI, and aviation technology, and proactively explore emerging trends and methodologies to drive continuous innovation and improvement.Communication and Stakeholder Engagement: Effectively communicate findings, insights, and recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders through clear, compelling presentations and reports, and actively engage with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment with business objectives.
Education & Experience
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Data Science, Aviation Engineering, or a related field.5-7 years’ experience working as a Data Scientist or similar role, preferably in aviation or a related field.Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, R, or Java, as well as experience with data manipulation and analysis libraries (e.g., pandas, numpy, scikit-learn).Strong understanding of machine learning techniques and algorithms such as regression, classification, clustering, neural networks, etc., with experience applying to real-world problems.Familiarity with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or matplotlib.Knowledge of aviation operations and industry-specific challenges and opportunities is desirable.Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with colleagues across various disciplines and levels of the organization.
