The role
As a Data Migration Developer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. Working with the Business Object Data Services (BODS) Extract, Transform, Load (ETL) toolset to design, develop and support end-to-end data migration processes associated with both SAP and non-SAP based programs.
Day-to-day, you’ll design and develop SAP BODS and SSIS jobs for data conversion and integration to and from SAP and other sources.
- Enhance the existing toolset to ensure maximum value delivery as the project evolves
- Prepare Excel spreadsheets (Data Collection Workbooks) using SAP load formats (iDoc/BAPI/ABAP Programs) as templates for data analysts
- Identify and suggest emerging standards and best practices
- Manage and monitor job schedules, providing fixes for any failed schedules/jobs
This role is full time, 37.5 hours per week and provides hybrid working arrangements.
Essential experience of the Data Migration Developer:
- Data modelling and data architecture skills using BODS and SSIS ETL toolsets
- Expertise in SAP data extraction process and BODS jobs development
- Experience in challenging and complex organizations, contributing to technical change
- Understanding and writing Data Stage ETL specifications and delivering technical solutions to an agreed standard
- Experience delivering solutions using industry-standard methodologies and proven experience working in small teams delivering technical solutions to project requirements
Qualifications for the Data Migration Developer:
- Bachelor’s degree in information systems or substantial experience designing and/or delivering BODS and SSIS ETL solutions/programs
