Job Description:
A vacancy for a Senior Procurement Contracts Manager (m/f) has arisen within Airbus Defence & Space. As the successful candidate you will join the Procurement Contracts – (PYCD) department in Toulouse (Palays).
Come and join a dynamic and transnational and multicultural team of 30 contract managers supporting Air Power, Space and Connected Intelligence Business Lines and providing critical expertise to the procurement function within a worldwide leader, working on cutting-edge projects and providing industry leading services and solutions for designing, developing and operating major space systems and delivering space-based services serving commercial and governmental customers.
Your main activities, as a contract manager, will include:
Focal point for the dedicated Business Line on a Business activity and programmes
Manage the definition of the Airbus Defence & Space procurement contractual policy and ensure its implementation and associated contractual Terms & Conditions,
Drafting and revizion of standard procurement contracts integrating all relevant requirements (e.g. economic, commercial, technological, legal, risk management)
Providing support and advice in Call for Tenders (CFTs) by approving the contractual baseline, assessing the contractual elements of bids, preparing/supporting the negotiations and overseeing the awards;
Prepare and perform/lead negotiations; contract drafting and negotiations of contracts together with the procurement commodity managers (all types of contracts, from non-disclosure agreements, collaboration agreements, procurement of goods, services etc.) to secure both Procurement and Sales Campaigns objectives and targets whilst adhering to governance & policies.
Approving and signing of the contract validation form (CVF) which shall contain the key elements of the contract (executive summary, main deviations, risks and opportunities of the contract).
Management of contracts in place: preparation, drafting and negotiation of e.g. complex contract amendments, claims and settlement agreements during the life cycle of the contract together with Procurement Commodity Buyers; Contractual analysis of agreements and advice in case of disagreements / potential forthcoming disputes between Company and suppliers concerning existing procurement contracts.
Provision a support for the preparation/defense of claims and pre-litigation;
Provision of specialized support and expertise in contract analysis, -drafting, - design and -negotiations for Company functions other than Procurement.
Advising internal stakeholders on contractual implications of internal (improvement) projects (e.g. confidentiality or intellectual property aspects).
Development of new and further development of existing Procurement Academy training; coaching and training-on-the-job of our stakeholders in the areas of contracts and negotiations.
Requirements & expectations:
You have a legal background or contractual knowledge acquired from a previous experience,
Experience of 10+ years in contracts negotiations and exposure to sales and/or procurement.
You are fluent in English, both oral and written, and are naturally at ease with words and drafting
