Educational and Experience Requirements
Minimum Education Requirement -Bachelors/BBA/BMS degree, preferably in Sales/Marketing
Experience – 3/4 years of experience in sales related roles preferably with 2+ years in sales strategy implementation/ frontline sales in aviation industry , 2+ years of experience in sales preferably with 2+ years of frontline sales experience in domestic/international airlines
•Job Purpose- Key Sales and Distribution revenue increment and market segment development by collecting market information and developing sales and marketing strategies for various territories in order to ensure growth in revenue and market share
Key Accountabilities-
Sales Strategy Activities
• Identify prospecting and potential customers for Air India's aviation varied range of product/services in the assigned areas
• Execute the sales strategy in accordance with functional and organizational objectives with a view to drive the sales and profitability of the Air India business
• Maintaining a deep understanding of the Air India's service bundle, as well as the competitive landscape
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to assure customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Achieve individual/ team sales targets (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) for their respective assigned areas
• Coordinate closely with the respective Sales Manager to monitor and evaluate the sales target achievement periodically (monthly, quarterly, annually)
• Communicate with the customers providing accurate and timely information to them regarding product or service features, pricing, and availability
• Coordinate with other departments such as marketing, product development, and customer service to ensure customer needs are met
• Provide regular reports to sales heads regarding sales activities and progress towards targets
• Coordinate with internal stakeholders on negotiating appropriate incentive structure for travel agents and OTA with a goal to maximize net revenue
• Develop detailed MIS report for continuous tracking of overall sales performance in the assigned areas
• Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and potential risks in the aviation market for the respective assigned areas
• Actively participate in trade events and corporate roads shows in new and prospective markets
Any other additional responsibility could be assigned to the role holder from time to time as a standalone project or regular work. The same would be suitably represented in the Primary responsibilities and agreed between the incumbent, reporting officer and HR.
