The role
Babcock LGE is seeking ambitious Senior Project Engineer to join our team and play a vital role in delivering large-scale process engineering projects for the marine and offshore industries.
In this exciting role, you'll act as the primary point of contact in communications with Customer, Owners, Third Party Engineers, Partners, Agents and Site etc in a controlled manner, including regular project meetings (internal and external), providing Minutes and clearing of actions in a timely and traceable manner.
You will also:
- Interface with other disciplines - including the clear assignment of tasks, required scope, objectives and time scales to ensure efficient working practices to achieve the required project objectives and deliverables schedules
- Represent company in contractual matters
- Set-up and on-going maintenance of the project administration.
- Develop and apply the Project Management/Risk Plan.
- Review and approve Purchase Orders to meet project requirements
- Record/collect the progress of tasks/activities and accountability for the project plan.
There may be a requirement for international travel to carry out commissioning and performance tests activities. There may also be the requirement to travel to meet clients, third party inspectors and vendors in certain instances.
This role is full time, Monday to Friday and is based at our Rosyth site, with hybrid working arrangements- 2 days in the office, 3 days working from home.
Essential experience of the Senior Project Engineer
- Technical competence
- Clear and confident communicator
- Capable of handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Highly motivated with an attention to detail
- IT capable
- Able to work alone or as part of a multi-discipline team
- Fluency in the English language (verbal & written)
- An understanding of Continuous Improvement/Lean methods, tools and implementation.
Security Clearance
The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
