Babcock is looking for a Zone Manager (Project Coordinator) to join theteam based in Devonport, Auckland on an 12-month Fixed-Term Contract.
About the role
Join a dynamic team at the Devonport Naval Base as an ECP Zone Manager, where you will oversee the successful execution of Engineering Change Proposals (ECPs). You’ll ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations while delivering critical marine engineering projects. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead the planning, coordination, and risk management for ship availability periods, working closely with key stakeholders and ship staff.

About you
You are a skilled project manager with a technical background, ideally in marine engineering. You thrive in fast-paced environments, balancing project deadlines, budgets, and quality control while ensuring HSE compliance. You excel in problem-solving, communicating with a wide range of stakeholders, and managing risks. Your ability to interpret technical drawings and manage complex engineering projects sets you apart. Key Required Qualifications
- Tertiary qualification in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or Naval Architecture
- Minimum 5 years of relevant industrial experience (marine engineering preferred)
