FEAM is currently seeking an experienced Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic to join our Anchorage, AK team. We pride ourselves on consistently exceeding our customers’ expectations and creating lifelong relationships with our clientele. The Ground Support Equipment Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing GSE Equipment, ensuring an efficient and profitable operation of FEAM’s GSE Department.
Job Duties:
· Troubleshoot and repair all GSE equipment and maintain all GSE equipment, including but not limited to, Electrical diagnostics of both A/C and D/C circuits, non-motorized and motorized equipment with gasoline, propane, and diesel engines, etc.
· Follow the company’s prescribed safety practices in performing their duties.
· Accurately completing all associated forms and reports for GSE work they perform such as but not limited to work orders, purchase requests, time sheets, customer service forms, and internal tracking forms.
· Ensure the GSE shop is neat and organized, keeping their work area clean.
Basic Qualifications:
· Must have a valid driver’s license.
· Must have 5+ years of relevant experience.
· Ability to work on back and under or overhead vehicles and equipment for extended periods.
· Ability to lift and carry at least 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
· Able to work in varying weather conditions, indoors and outdoors.
· Experience with basic electrical and mechanical diagrams and basic measuring tools.
· Must own basic hand tools.
· Must be able to read and write English.
· Must pass airport security background checks.
· Must have a flexible schedule, and travel for work as required.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Good organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Professional with great sales and customer service skills.
· Diesel and Gas maintenance experience preferred.
· Fleet maintenance and medium-duty equipment experience preferred.
· Aircraft Ground Service Equipment maintenance and repair experience preferred.
