Air New Zealand is looking for a Network Operations Manager (Internal job title: Senior Infrastructure Operations Specialist) to join our digital platforms team.
What You’ll Do:
- Lead the operational management of our Network Infrastructure to exceed service levels.
- Implement best practices for Wi-Fi, Routing, SD-WAN, and Switching to maintain a top-notch network.
- Offer your expertise to resolve incidents swiftly and effectively.
- Manage vendor partnerships and ensure third-party network support services meet our high standards.
- Keep our network documentation detailed and up-to-date, tracking hardware assets and managing software licensing.
- Collaborate to evolve and execute our Infrastructure & Tooling strategy, aligning with network, infrastructure, and Cloud services strategies.
- Engage in cross-team initiatives, manage product backlogs, and coordinate with product teams to hit business targets.
- Stay ahead of digital and technology trends to maximise business opportunities.
- Contribute your subject matter expertise to blend ITIL-aligned service management with continuous delivery practices.
- Lead system enhancements and integrations, ensuring system integrity and compliance.

Who You Are:
- A seasoned professional with 5+ years in network engineering/administration.
- A proven leader with experience leading a team of network experts.
- Skilled in network design, deployment, and complex network management.
- Knowledgeable in networking protocols, firewalls, VPNs, Cloud networking, and Wi-Fi technologies.
- Experienced in budget management and outsourcing agreements.
- Adept in managing third-party vendors and SLAs, with a familiarity in Agile methodologies.
