Lead and manage a dynamic plant, branch, or department overseeing multiple teams in Materials Planning and SIOP. This role is pivotal in setting and achieving strategic, short-, and medium-term goals, including optimizing product storage and shipment, refining activity planning, and delivering high-quality results. You’ll drive the implementation of advanced inventory control systems and practices, respond to complex challenges, and support operational excellence in a fast-paced environment.
This position will sit at our Santa Isabel, PR location. You must be residing in Puerto Rico at the time of starting employment. May be eligible for relocation.
What Will You Do
- Manages multiple teams, and owns the establishment and execution of short to medium-term operational plans.
- Leads in the implementation of plans and prepares data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items and other parts as required.
- Spearheads the implementation of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
- Leads the execution of continuous management for the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validations using the best information available.
- Directs the transportation and delivery of inter/intra-plant parts and outbound finished products.
- May oversee the management of inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
- Accountable for tracking and shipping process.
- Leads in the implementation of plans to minimize risks for shortages and ensures successful customer deliver
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 16 years of relevant experience
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract
- Demonstrated professional or educational experience communicating in English (verbal and written).
Qualifications We Prefer
- Materials Management, Supply Chain and Manufacturing experience across a global site and supply infrastructure
- Experience implementing ERP, MES and business intelligence systems (SAP preferred)
- Demonstrated experience implementing world class materials management, manufacturing and best practices
- Experience with single piece flow in a mixed model production supporting multi-site pull systems
- Certified in Lean or Six-Sigma with a demonstrated ability to establish and mature a Continuous Improvement (CI) culture
- Statistics based materials forecasting and planning
- APICS and CPIM certifications
- Current / Future State Value Stream Mapping and Macro Planning
