The Lead Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) Specialist will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards. This role will focus on promoting a culture of safety, environmental stewardship, and continuous improvement within the organization.

Roles and Responsibilities
- Individuals located at manufacturing sites and fixed facilities (e.g., a service shop or O&M site) that provide day-to-day EHS support for that facility.
- Developing in-depth knowledge of a technical discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired technical expertise to execute policy/strategy.
- In-depth understanding of key business drivers; uses this understanding to accomplish own work. In-depth understanding of how work of own team integrates with other teams and contributes to the area.
- Uses some level of judgment and has ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters but with guidance. Uses prior experience and on-the-job training to solve straightforward tasks. Has access to technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
- A job at this level is likely to be an individual contributor with proven interpersonal skills or an early people leader who can hire and develop talent. Provides informal guidance to new team members.
- Initiates, preforms, develops, and oversees all aspects of EHS training and documentation.
- Directs implementation of company EHS programs, to include developing EHS methods, procedures and policies based on company guidelines.
- Monitors compliance programs and company metrics analysis and improvement system.
- Investigates EHS related incidents using root cause analysis methodologies implement corrective actions, track corrective actions to closure.
- Monitor, review, and manage site safety concerns, partnering with operational leaders to closure.
- Management of hazardous, universal, and non-hazardous waste programs.
- Management of air inventory permitted programs.
- Management of SPEDES wastewater and stormwater programs.
- Demonstrate flexibility to provide support to employees across all shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college with at least 4 years of experience
- High school diploma / GED with at least 8 years of experience demonstrating progressive leadership accountability.
- Experience with EPA, DOT, OSHA, and NFPA regulations.

- Experience with all Microsoft Office Tools
- Preferred experience in Gensuite EHS Tool
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems. Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs. Established project management skills.

The base pay range for this position is $96,700 - $128,900. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on November 29, 2024.
