The Automation Strategy Leader is responsible for developing and implementing the strategic direction of automation technologies within our supply chain operations. They will also define the roadmap for building a workforce capable of advancing and sustaining automation solutions.This role will be pivotal in enhancing efficiency, reducing costs, and ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality across our supply chain processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain automation strategy aligned with GE Aerospace’s business objectives and SQDC priorities.
- Lead and manage automation projects from conception through implementation.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the supply chain organization.
- Lead cross-functional teams to identify, prioritize, and implement both simple and complex automation technologies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including engineering, manufacturing, procurement, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of automation initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement and innovation in supply chain processes through the adoption of advanced technologies such as robotics, AI, IoT, and data analytics.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess the effectiveness of automation initiatives and make data-driven decisions.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in supply chain automation to maintain a competitive edge.
- Lead the creation of core standards to enable core competency building and rapid scaling of developed solutions.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain management, with a focus on automation and technology implementation.
- Proven track record of leading large-scale automation projects and driving strategic initiatives in a complex, global supply chain environment.
- Strong understanding of supply chain processes, systems, and technologies, including ERP, WMS, TMS, and MES.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
