The Opportunity:
This role covers various aspects of the day-to-day financial function in the Finance Department, in essence it involves assisting the Financial Controller where required in preparing the various monthly reports and performing tasks that lead to the completion of those reports. It also involves various ad hoc departmental duties.
The key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Maintain integrity and accurateness of the Company’s general ledger including accounts reconciliations, prepare journal entries (i.e. accruals, amortisation, reclass, deferral) in the accounting system;
- Process month end and yearly roll over as per checklists;
- Update daily and end of month foreign exchange rates in the accounting system and run revaluation functions as per guideline;
- Assist in the development of internal control procedures and guidelines (SOX procedures);
- Provide support to the annual statutory audit of Group’s statutory accounts, and Internal Audits.
- Maintain the integrity and accurateness of Fixed Asset Register (FAR), including depreciation calculation, Capital Expenditure (CAPEX) tracking, records maintenance, asset movement updates and together with Operations Team to track individual assets;
- Responsible for the inter-company charges with other L3Harris business unit, including maintain correct reconciliation in the Intercompany Billing System (IBS) and make sure correct bill back issued before IBS dateline;
- Support the preparation of the yearly Fringe Benefit Tax/ statutory Tax compliance as required;
- Administer the Deltek T&E system and ensure all timesheets are posted accordingly with required deadlines. Provide backup to Engineering staff T&E Administrator.
- Identify and develop process improvements to streamline financial processes and improve team efficiency.
- Provide back-up for all aspects of day-to-day Finance functions as required
- Back-up for payroll function including submission to ADP
- Ad hoc duties as requested by Line Managers.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

- Experience with ERP systems
- Excellent verbal and written skills
- Intermediate knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
Qualifications:
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting or Finance or a similar field
- 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role is essential and previous experience in manufacturing industry is preferred
- Qualified or studying towards completion of CA/CPA
