About the role
As a Lead Cargo Network Compliance Officer - Safety, you will be responsible to monitor and enhance Qatar Airways Cargo safety compliance and ensure compliance is always maintained within the Cargo network including staff, stakeholders and suppliers, and resolve queries related to performance monitoring. Identify network performance and foster for safe and secure cargo operation across the network.
Conduct compliance audits, investigations, risk assessments and report results. Further lead all related parties to foster the achievement of safety performance indicators and the continuous improvement of the operations.
As part of your role, your additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to, the following:
- Lead the team to handle day to day cargo safety related issues in the network. Supervise the implementation of Qatar Airways Cargo safety procedures, in operations and in occupational health & safety areas.
- Ensure that the processes implemented within cargo network are in line with the Qatar Airways Group Safety, QCAA and local regulations’ requirements.
- Prepare presentations, create safety data trend charts using MS Excel and Power BI and keep a track of recurring safety issues
- Monitor the SPI (Safety Performance Indicator) performance and support in developing an action plan when SPIs exceed the current year target
- Liaise with the necessary relevant sub units of cargo department, GSA and GHA in order to resolve the issues by building internal, cross-functional relationship and communication structures and develop a resolution environment in a timely and efficient manner.
- Prepare weekly/monthly/bimonthly performance report and presentations for company, individual customers, regions and stations.
- Conduct investigation meetings with GHAs and QR teams and prepare investigation reports when a safety occurrence takes place.
- Keep a track of top safety risks within cargo network and conduct risk assessments where necessary.
Qualifications
About you
We are looking for a passionate and experienced professional to join the QR Cargo Team.
- Minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is essential
- 5+ years of job-related experience
- Work experience in the airline cargo industry
- Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential
- Good understanding of MS Excel, data visualization and MS Powerpoint
- Fluency in written and spoken English
- High level of Computer literacy
