The classification of Supervisor Ramp includes managing, coordinating and controlling airport activities for both Ramp Services functions (as described below); monitors the quantity and quality of work performance; directing personnel within assigned functional area; overseeing and advising on staffing requirements; participating in the discipline, coaching, counseling, hiring and termination of subordinates; training subordinates, ensures compliance with Company rules and regulations, Company standards and contractual agreements; ensures budgetary controls and manning requirements. This position may include responsibility for communication between Airport Board officials and individual customers with the Company. Proactively monitors the work of assigned employees to ensure that customer satisfaction, safety, security, quality and employee relations meet or exceed standards. Maintain and control all required aspects of the operation in accordance with the corporate security program and TSA legislation. Ensure that the required company audit requirements are undertaken to ensure continuity and compliance at all times. Read, understand and clarify the implementation of the site-specific security plan and ensure that all WFS staff are issued with a relevant company ID and that they are required to display this identity badge. Ensures they administer practices in a fair and equitable manner, where all employees, customers, vendors and other third parties are treated with respect. The scope of the job may vary with the size of the operation and its primary line of business.
Ramp Service Functions:
Includes the following: loading and unloading of cargo company material on and off aircraft; the transporting of cargo between terminals and aircraft; the ramp transfers of cargo where required; the receiving, delivering, and physical handling of freight and company material, export at the designated express docks, the completion of forms and messages related to and necessary for the performance of the designated locations of the functions described. Transporting such furnishings and supplies to and from aircraft. Assisting in loading, unloading and racking both filled and empty drums.
