About the job
The PPM Team Lead is the line manager for Procurement Bid / Project / Product Managers based in the Region. The Team Lead is responsible for all Procurements that are part of a Bid / Project / Product for the Business Line Surface Radar (BL SRA) within Thales NL. He/she is accountable for achievement of Procurement targets in his/her perimeter. He/she is responsible to provide the best procurement solution (quality, price and time) and contribute to bring innovations from the suppliers in our products or projects, fitting with the customer needs and aligned with the Thales Procurement strategy lead by the Global Category Managers. To that end he/she manages a team of Bid/Project/Product Procurement Managers (PPM) who are under his/her direct responsibility.
The Team Lead reports to the Director of Procurement Netherlands and the Procurement SRA Business Line lead.
As Team Lead Procurement Ramp Up Operations you are:
- Managing and coaching ~6 Surface Radar Procurement Bids / Projects / Product Managers (ProcPM’s) in their regular activities and specifically in the Ramp Up activities,
- Member of the Procurement Management Team of TNL and as such accountable for the overall performance of the Procurement team and to drive continuous improvement and transformation initiatives,
- Procurement representative in the SRA Product Segments within Next Naval (management team meetings, project reviews, gates etc.),
- Closely cooperating with the Procurement Team Lead for the Business Line SRA (located in Limours, France),
- Closely cooperating with the Procurement Team Lead for the Business Line Above Water Systems/AWS (located in Hengelo, Netherlands) for transversal Next Naval topics e.g. MYB process.
As Team Lead Procurement Ramp Up Operations you will be accountable to:
- Provide competitiveness to the business by involving procurement in the early definition phase of a product so that they are able to challenge the needs / requirements, by bringing added value from suppliers into the solutions and to ensure the design is fit for manufacturing and meeting the cost targets (Design for X/DfX),
- Coordinate with the Procurement Segment and the Thales Netherlands organizations on the procurement strategies of categories that impact the BL SRA business,
- Monitor the Procurement activities and to track competitiveness performance and risks/opportunities in the bids/projects/products within your scope,
- Contribute to the acquisition MYB of the GBU, by providing the data related to your perimeter.

- A degree in International Business, Procurement, Project Management, Supply Chain and/or Engineering with professional and intellectual capacities at academic level.
- Multiple years of relevant experience in Procurement, Project Management, Supply Chain and/or Engineering.

- Excellent leadership and management skills with the ability to influence and deliver business results.
