Senior Recruitment Manager – Hiring
Our Recruitment team is at the heart of our business, playing a critical role in sourcing, attracting, and selecting the best talent to join British Airways. This team ensures that we consistently recruit the right people at the right time, making a positive impact on our business and customer experience. As part of the Recruitment leadership team, you’ll lead a large group of dedicated recruitment professionals, overseeing high-volume hiring that’s essential to our airline's success.
What you’ll do:
- Lead and develop a team of recruitment professionals, ensuring they are equipped and motivated to deliver outstanding recruitment results.
- Oversee and manage an effective portfolio of volume recruitment campaigns to secure the right talent for BA efficiently and cost-effectively.
- Use market insights to craft and drive our talent attraction and acquisition strategy for volume hires.
- Design a compelling and candidate-centric experience across the recruitment journey, ensuring communication is engaging at each stage.
- Act as a BA ambassador, embodying our values and leadership behaviours while fostering a positive, inclusive, and respectful workplace culture.
- Continuously seek new approaches and market insights to innovate and enhance our recruitment processes.
- Ensure efficient operation of our BA Recruitment Centre, delivering a great experience for all candidates.
- Manage third-party recruitment suppliers effectively and ensure legal compliance in all offer and contract processes.
- Prioritise continuous improvement, adapting flexibly to change and embracing a strategic approach to problem-solving.
- Oversee a recruitment team of approximately 20-30 BA colleagues.
What you’ll bring to British Airways:
- Strategic mindset with the ability to solve problems and remove obstacles to meet recruitment goals.
- Strong customer service and people-oriented approach, emphasising the candidate experience.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail and an ability to see the broader picture.
- Excellent project management capabilities, including prioritisation, meeting deadlines, and managing projects from start to finish.
- Analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights to drive recruitment success.
- Proficiency in balancing daily operations with long-term strategic planning.
Your experience:
- Proven experience in a leadership role within a recruitment function, ideally within a complex matrix organisation.
- Experience managing a multifunctional team and overseeing volume recruitment.
- Demonstrated success in implementing transformation programmes to improve the candidate experience and operational efficiency.
