Position Overview
We are seeking a motivated Data Analytics Intern to join our Strategic Sourcing Team in Lamphun, Thailand. This internship offers a unique opportunity to engage in data-driven projects, from extracting and analyzing data, to developing dashboards that support strategic decisions. You will work closely with experienced professionals and contribute to high-impact projects that influence Safran's operations.
Key Responsibilities
Data Extraction & Management:
- Extract and manage data from various data warehouses.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy for analysis purposes.
Data Analysis & Visualization:
- Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights.
- Develop and maintain interactive dashboards using tools such as Power BI.
Collaboration & Support:
- Work alongside sourcing team members to contribute to the development of the team, optimize its resources, and make decisions based on integrated data.
- Support the sourcing team with data-driven recommendations.
Project Participation:
- Engage in projects with significant impact on Safran’s Thailand site.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of data strategies.
Quality Assurance:
- Identify discrepancies in data and implement corrective measures to ensure data accuracy and reliability.
Qualifications
Education:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Industrial Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is a strong plus.
- Comfortable using Excel and VBA for data analysis and automation.
- Familiarity with data extraction and data warehousing concepts.
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Additional Requirements:
- A passion for data analytics and its application in business decisions.
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
- Experience with programming languages such as Python or R is a strong plus.
