Job Description:
The Associate Manager of Production Planning and Property Management will oversee the Production Planning (Support C) and Property Administrator roles, ensuring effective property management, compliance, and production planning across multiple programs. This role will provide leadership, mentoring, and ensure adherence to company standards and government regulations, while facilitating efficient asset management practices.
Essential Functions:
Leadership and Team Management:
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the Production Planning (Support C) and Property Administrator roles.
- Provide coaching, development, and performance management to team members.
- Ensure alignment with organizational goals and maintain a focus on operational efficiency and compliance.
Production Planning:
- Supervise production planning activities and support across multiple customer and government property management programs.
- Facilitate coordination among cross-functional teams to achieve production targets.
- Assist in establishing directives and operational processes, recommending system and process improvements.
Property Management:
- Oversee the asset management processes to ensure compliance with FAR, DFARS, and other relevant standards.
- Ensure all records of company and customer property, including government-owned assets, are accurately maintained.
- Support internal and external audits related to property management, ensuring all documentation is prepared and compliant.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Act as a liaison between the property management team, government representatives, and internal stakeholders.
- Drive collaboration between production planning and property management functions to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Maintain effective communication with program teams, operations, and contracts departments.
Compliance and Reporting:
- Ensure the team adheres to L3Harris standards and federal regulations regarding property and production management.
- Conduct periodic inventories and audits of tools, equipment, and other assets.
- Implement and monitor property management programs and policies to meet internal and external requirements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum 6 years prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree with a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum 6 years of experience in production planning, property management, or a related role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or management position.
- Minimum 2 years of experience managing compliance with government regulations (e.g., FAR, DFARS) and audits.
- Minimum 2 years of experience with asset management processes and production planning in a manufacturing or defense industry context.
Preferred Additional Skills:
- Experience with government property management or a similar compliance-heavy environment.
- Familiarity with SAP or other ERP systems for managing production and inventory.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a collaborative approach to cross-functional teamwork.
