The role
As a Business Improvement Manager, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. This is a key role in delivering an exciting modernisation project and realising significant benefits on several important Babcock projects.
Day-to-day, you’ll lead the Business Support Group (BSG) in providing business support for production, maintenance and repair to Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in terms of business processes, tools and training.
- Supporting business projects and contracts to develop execution strategies.
- Holding projects to account for delivering departmental related life-cycle deliverables.
This role is full time, 35 hours per week and is based on site at Devonport Royal Dockyard.
Essential experience of the Business Improvement Manager:
- Knowledge and experience of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) tools in the context Submarine or Warship maintenance.
- Demonstrable knowledge of warship/submarine production and quality processes, including safe release of work, procurement, kitting, equipment tracking and regulatory requirements.
- Self-motivated and able to work under pressure.
Qualifications for the Business Improvement Manager:
- A recognised professional technical qualification such as an HNC is in a field like Engineering or IT - Desirable
