We are seeking a
Senior Energy/Utilities Supply Program Management Specialist (Level 5) to join our Global Real Estate & Facilities (GREF) team, supporting the execution of energy procurements. Working closely with our sustainability and supply chain organizations, this role will ensure our global facilities have clean, reliable, and affordable energy to meet Boeing’s business needs and compliance with regulatory requirements.
This senior individual contributor will identify risks & develop mitigation plans related to energy capacity, and collaborate & partner with site level focals to develop a long-range outlook for energy demand and maximize utility incentives & rebate programs.
With a systems thinking approach, this role will also have the opportunity to influence how we identify & procure significant energy using assets, shape supplier statements of work, consider feasibility of new energy technologies & alternative energy sources, and impact continuous improvements to our energy reliability portfolio.
The role may require occasional domestic travel to other U.S. Boeing sites.
Position Responsibilities:
- Contribute to Boeing’s complex energy portfolio & progress by facilitating the procurement of regulated and deregulated energy, in accordance with the company’s sustainability strategic plan and through cross-functional coordination, integration and collaboration
- Develop a comprehensive company-wide energy demand profile
- Achieve and maintain a clean, safe, affordable, and reliable supply of energy for Boeing operations
- Identify and communicate energy demand vs. capacity risks and opportunities; develop risk mitigation plans
- Collaborate with site-level focals to maximize utility provider incentives, rebates and Strategic Energy Management (SEM) programs
- Develop a centralized approach for retention of utility agreements and governance to ensure optimization of utility provider relationships
- Serve as project lead/program manager, managing large cross-functional project teams enterprise-wide, working with internal subject matter experts and external consultants, as needed
- Develop and manage project budgets, objectives, schedules, and deliverables for development projects; communicate progress to plan to various stakeholders
- Analyze data, identify root causes, and present creative solutions
- Facilitate change management in sustainability related service contracts
- Actively lead and execute various improvement activities and initiatives to ensure Boeing meets our sustainability goals
- Demonstrate daily commitment to safety and operational excellence
This position is hybrid. This means that the selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options. This is at the hiring team’s discretion and could potentially change in the future.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher (preferred discipline in Energy Management, Energy Procurement, Environmental, Engineering or relevant field)
- 5+ years of experience within project leadership including planning, implementing and executing program plans
- Experience analyzing energy related data to produce a strategy
- Experience developing and executing energy projects
- Experience reviewing and interpreting government regulations/requirements for energy related matters
- Experience working with proposals, contracts, and/or contract terms
- Experience working with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Desired Qualifications (Preferred Skills/Experience):
- 5+ years of experience partnering with supplier management to develop sourcing strategies and develop statements of work
- 5+ years of experience applying risk management and mitigation principles
- 5+ years of experience in sustainability strategy, engagement, consulting, and/or program management
- 5+ years of experience in wholesale energy markets (e.g., risks, supply sources, marketers, brokers, delivery grids, storage services, supply and demand factors/trends), portfolio theory, utility company operations, energy usage requirements, and scheduling/delivery procedures
- Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, market dynamics, and best practices
- Knowledge of energy management & its relationship to ISO 140001 and ISO 50001
- Knowledge of energy procurement processes, complex contract structures and energy related financing approaches
- Demonstrated skills as a leader & change agent in a global manufacturing company
- Self-motivated; quickly adaptable to new working environments
- Systems thinker; ability to envision new possibilities
- Experience with the Energy Performance Contracting (EPC) process, and managing corporate wide deployment of a program
- Certified Energy Procurement Professional (CEP) or other energy management certification

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business consideration.
Summary pay range: $132,600 - $192,000
