Activities - what you can expect:
Financial & Commercial Perspective
Closing monthly financial periods ensuring accounting records are complete, valid, and accurate.
Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly financial reports encompassing financial results as well as commentary on the results.
Preparation of annual business plans for the Group, in conjunction with the various business stakeholders.
Prepare budgets and forecasts for submission to the Group and local management.
Customer & Stakeholder Perspective
Prepare and review monthly finance reports including cost centre variance analysis versus budgets for review by relevant cost centres.
Establish and maintain close relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Ensure that Swissport’s core values are communicated and adhered to thus ensuring that we strive to exceed the expectations of our customers and deliver excellent service.
Internal Business Processes
Ensure that the required financial processes are in place and well maintained, including IT systems (where applicable).
Ensure that internal controls are well managed throughout the operations, which includes continuous review of controls and the improvement thereof.
Manage internal treasury including bank mandates, cash management, foreign payments, guarantees and any other required deliverables.
Manage the insurance processes.
Review and authorise monthly payments for supplier invoices.
Review and authorise monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
Organizational Leadership, Learning & Development
Co-ordinate and manage the financial function and management of all staff in the Finance team.
Assist the financial accountants with any queries.
Provide direction, guidance, coaching and leadership to the Finance team.
Develop technical and leadership skills of direct reports.
Corporate Governance & Risk Management
Plan, execute and manage the year-end audit and internal audit for the company.
Co-ordinate and assist with relevant sections of the quarterly Board pack.
Strictly adhere to systems and deadlines of reporting to Swissport International.
Ensure strict compliance with all international and local government/ statutory requirements.
Profile - what you need:
- Education: University Degree
- Professional: Relevant post degree qualification preferred
- Experience: +5 years FM experience
- License requirements: Driver’s license required.
- Effective Leadership: Foster the development of members of his or her team, providing feedback, support, encouragement and coaching.
- Results Orientation: Set and meet challenging goals, create own measure of excellence, and constantly seek ways of improving performance and meeting of all deadlines.
