Job Description:
Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Program Management supporting the companieslaser business. This position requires the individual to be capable of handling a broad range of competing priorities on a daily basis. The Program Manager is responsible for overall strategy and growth of his/her portfolio. The Product Manager will ensure products and services within his/her portfolio are competive in their target market and meet all customer requirements. The Program Manager will ensure their programs meet, schedule, cost and technical performance against all customer requirements. He/she will be the primary customer contact and will be responsible for follow-on and new business within their product portfolio.

Essential Functions:
- Conducts market analysis and formulates ALST’s strategic response for his/her portfolio.
- Identifies growth opportunities and leads the capture of new or adjacent business opportunities.
- Supports Senior Leadership with developing ALST’s business strategy and planning.
- Acts as primary customer interface for all products; leads customer discussions regarding technical, cost and schedule requirements.
- Responsible for P&L within his/her portfolio.
- Working understanding of EVMS; responsible for tracking and monitoring each programs cost and schedule.
- Works with Engineering to develop Technology Roadmaps to support his/her portfolio growth.
- Working with Engineering identifies and tracks IRAD requirements within his/her portfolio.
- Provides overall direction for assigned projects/programs over the entire development and production life cycle.
- Responds to all customer Request for Quotations in a timely and efficient manner.
- Provides input and supports implementation of root cause analysis / correctives action when necessary to initiate program changes.
- In alignment with Quality, Engineering and Manufacturing Departments, reviews product design and configuration to ensure compliance with product specification, quality, customer requirements, legal requirements, and company standards.
- Coordinates and provides required reports to management and customers regarding cost, schedule, quality and product performance.
- Communicates customer issues and scorecards to leaderships; formulates action plans to address and issues and negative scorecards.
- Coordinate resolution of supplier problems with Quality, Procurement, Engineering and Manufacturing departments.

Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience or Graduate Degree with a minimum of 6 years prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 16 years of prior related experience.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in an optical, mechanical and / or electrical manufacturing environment
- 6+ years managing P&L for programs or business unit
- 6+ years experience with concentration in EO, opto-mechanical and lasers focused in the defense industry
- 6+ years experience developing and executing strategies in a DoD environment
- United States Citizenship required with ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance
- Possess and maintain a valid US Passport
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license
