Job Summary: The Security Guard is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of the building's lobby area and providing a welcoming presence to visitors and staff. This role involves monitoring access to the facility, greeting and assisting visitors, and responding to security incidents in a professional manner.
Key Responsibilities:
• Greet and verify the identity of visitors and staff entering the building.
• Maintain a visitor log and issue visitor badges.
• Monitor surveillance cameras and security systems to detect and respond to any suspicious activity.
• Provide directions and information to visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.
• Ensure that the lobby area is clean, secure, and well-maintained at all times.
• Assist in emergency situations by following established procedures and protocols.
• Report any security incidents or irregularities to the appropriate authorities.
• Collaborate with other security personnel and building staff to ensure a safe and secure environment.
• Perform regular security patrols of the lobby and surrounding areas.
• Enforce building policies and procedures to maintain a secure environment.
Qualifications:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a security role. (3-5 years)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to remain calm and composed in stressful situations.
• Strong observational skills and attention to detail.
• Basic knowledge of security procedures and equipment.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks.
• This role involves standing and walking for extended periods.
• The position requires working in a lobby environment with regular interaction with the public.
