The Software Engineering Manager drives initiatives pertaining to current and future best practices. You will work with your team, other Managers, and the rest of the organization to define our software development technologies, practices, procedures, and policies. As Software Engineering Manager you are responsible for ensuring our modules and products meet or exceed the demands of the aviation world and are prepared to enable the future.
Responsibilities:
Set Software Factory direction, processes, and procedures for area of ownership
Own corporate strategy by applying effectively to your organization
Alignment of engineering initiatives to focus on company strategic goals
Ensure teams understanding of engineering goals and company strategy
Identify engineering gaps and close them
Lead, support, and coach Software Factory Employees and holds the team accountable
Provides people management: career development and performance management.
Collaborate with other Engineering Managers to deliver on shared objectives
Ensures quality in our deliverables
Continuous improvement - Identify key performance indicators, measure and improve
