An exciting opportunity for an IT Apprentice has become available at our world-class aerospace manufacturing facility in East Cowes, on the Isle of Wight.
Working in conjunction with the Level 4 Business Analyst Apprenticeship Standard, and working across both our Osborne and Falcon Yard manufacturing facilities, our four-year programme will provide you with all the development and training that you need to get your career off to a flying start!
The broad purpose of this apprenticeship is to understand the needs of stakeholders and how these can be met through business change and digital solutions. Business Analysts are change professionals that help organisations deliver business and digital change successfully.
Once qualified, our IT Apprentice is then likely to move into one of the following career discipline:
Centre of Excellence (CoE) Architect – acts as a skilled and knowledgeable team member whose role is to provide the business global support and deliver best practices around the analysis and design of applications and solutions in line with the business requirements.
Business Systems Architect – act as a skilled and knowledgeable team member whose role is to support the business and deliver best practice around the development and configuration of systems and solutions in line with business requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- To observe the company’s terms and conditions of employment.
- In both work and training, to be diligent and punctual and attend courses, keep records and undertake any tests determined by the company in order to measure & achieve the training objectives and quality gates.
- To behave in a responsible manner and in accordance with the requirements of Health & Safety legislation relating to the individual’s responsibilities.
- To be a good ambassador of the Company’s name and image.
- To successfully complete all activities documented in the Apprenticeship Training Agreement.
Job Qualifications
Suitable candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, and have:
Level 3 Qualification, Either
- A-Levels (x3) – Grades A to C, including one of the following subjects: Maths or Computer Science.
- T-Level (Digital)
- Other relevant Level 3 Qualification
Plus
GCSE’s Or Equivalent
- Maths: Grade 9 – 4
- English: Grade 9 – 4
- Computer Science: Grade 9 – 4
- Plus Two more: Grade 9 – 4
PLEASE ALSO NOTE the position requires UK National Security Vetting (UKNSV) Security clearance (SC) due to the nature and responsibilities of the work carried out. In order for us to obtain an SC you usually need to have been resident in the UK for a minimum of 5 years to current date (but we do assess each case individually)
