Johnson Service Group has an immediate opening for an Inside Sales Representative working for one of our clients who is an Internet Service Provider. The position will begin as a contract position, with the opportunity to apply for a full time position with the client. The successful candidate will be responsible for growing subscribers, making and taking sales calls, maintaining a database for our customers, answering sales support and customer inquiries, and ultimately achieving sales goals.
Your goal will be to identify new sales opportunities and handle both inbound and outbound calls to engage with potential new customers. Your main focus will be to assertively respond to our inbound pipelines and convert prequalified leads into Sail subscribers. You should be able to build instant rapport and achieve customer satisfaction by identifying pain points and concerns from our leads, along with providing a solution with our product. You should have a strong technical aptitude and ability to explain to our leads and customers how we would install our service, how our service is brought to their property, and how our service differentiates from our competitors. You should also be able to educate and answer questions about routers, internet speeds, and how fixed wireless technology works.
The ideal candidate will be an ambitious, well spoken, and motivated individual with a Hunter mindset. Someone who is hungry and persistent to make the sale! This individual should be motivated by a challenge and driven to succeed. This candidate will work well in a team environment, is capable of handling multiple projects/tasks at once, and adapts well to change and high-pressure deadlines. Possessing a high level of accuracy and attention to detail, a positive attitude, as well as stellar organizational and creative problem-solving skills will lead to their success.
This will primarily be a work from home position, but you must be able to make customer and company in person meetings in Santa Clara, CA without a great deal of notice.
Responsibilities and Duties
- First line of defense to respond and engage customers
- Communicating with potential leads and customers. Answer inbound calls and inquiries with the intent of providing sales support and converting new subscribers.
- Proactively make outbound calls to potential new customers and follow up on leads in our CRM in a timely fashion.
- Utilize proactive sales skills to identify needs and pain points of customers and effectively position Sail Internet.
- Overcome objections.
- Increase customer subscriptions and revenue by responding to all leads to improve conversion (website, phone, social, chat).
- Utilize our CRM to maintain a database of customer accounts, log notes and individual activity, and to follow up with qualified leads.
- Collaborate with fellow teammates and provide support in interdepartmental sales efforts.
- Qualify new leads by verifying address serviceability using proprietary tools.
- Respond with appropriate touchpoint email communications.
- Research and review competitors positioning to stay abreast of service and price offerings.
- Schedule installation appointments.
- Occasionally attend sales events in the field and in person meetings at our warehouse in Santa Clara.
- Create and maintain procedural documents.
- Close sales with qualified leads to achieve monthly metrics and provide reporting in respect to our goals.
- Participate in after-hours emergencies that require customer interaction.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree
- Minimum 2 years of technical sales
- Effective customer communication skills
- Strong technology experience with residential routers and home networks
- Pre-sales support or lead gen experience
- Familiarity with various tools like Slack, Zendesk, Trello, Copper, Google Earth/Maps
- Strong technical aptitude
- Knowledgeable about WISP or subscription services
- Demonstrated ability to quickly establish customer rapport
- Strong ability to multi-task and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Fluent in English and Spanish preferred
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Self-motivated and takes initiative with little direction
- Eligibility to work in the United States
Payrate $34 - 38/Hr.
