Job Summary
Ensure the implementation, monitoring and improvement of health, safety policies and procedures within the company, to create a safe working environment that complies with legal requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
Support and Advisory
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards and regulations.
- Advise and support Station Management and Business Line Leaders in implementing and auditing the Swissport Management System and local regulations.
- Coordinate and oversee health and safety activities across operational and functional units.
- Align and steer health and safety initiatives in line with global QHSE strategies and local requirements.
- Develop and execute prevention campaigns and activities tailored to business needs.
- Establish and monitor metrics and scorecards to measure progress and outcomes.
- Provide regular reports to the Country Head of QHS/ESG to drive continual improvement.
Risk Assessment
- Initiate improvement initiatives based on investigations and audit findings.
- Maintain and update the local risk register.
- Conduct internal risk and HIRA (Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment) audits.
Employee Training and Awareness
- Deliver health and safety training programs to employees.
- Develop and implement internal communication campaigns to promote health and safety.
- Foster a culture of health and safety across all stations.
- Enhance and manage employee recognition programs to encourage best practices.
Incident Management
- Monitor and analyze key safety metrics, including HIRA, HIRE, ACD, LTI, and NM.
- Establish and follow up on mandatory KPIs, such as accident and sick-leave rates.
- Investigate incidents, accidents, customer complaints, and major process failures to identify root causes and corrective actions.
- Conduct regular operational inspections and motivate employees toward achieving safety targets.

Qualifications
- Safety and health qualifications, such as NEBOSH Diploma or equivalent, are highly desirable.
- Certification as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist is an advantage.
- Proficiency in English, French, and Arabic.
- Willingness to travel as required.
