Job Description:
Airbus Helicopters is looking for aNH90 Repair and Overhaul Critical Items Manager (f/m) to join ourMRO Department based in Marignane, France.
The NH90 is a NATO Helicopter produced and supported by NH Industries (NHI), a joint venture between 4 partner companies: Airbus Helicopters France, Airbus Helicopters Deutschland, Fokker and Leonardo Helicopters division.
The fleet is composed by more than 500 aircrafts in two versions: Tactical Transport Helicopter and NATO Frigate Helicopter. It is operated by 14 customers worldwide.
NH90 Support and Services, the department in which you will evolve, is devoted to making our customer’s mission possible.
In order to improve NH90 serviceability and availability, your mission is to improve the Repair and Overhaul (R&O) performance on given items, gathered in the Priority Item List (PIL).

Your challenges:
- Identify critical repairable items based on their impact the industrial performance as well as on customers' operations, maintenance and retrofit plans.
- For each PIL item, define targets and action plans in collaboration with R&O focal points from the 4 partner companies.
- In particular for Airbus Helicopters France and Airbus Helicopters Deutschland PIL items, execute the recovery actions in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Based on your information define priorities and ensure that all stakeholders are streamlined to solve customers’ urgent needs.
- Manage direct communications and relationships with NATO Helicopter Management Agency (NAHEMA) and NH90 final customers regarding R&O critical items in different forums (RFC review meeting, National Review Meetings, R&O Working Groups / Workshops).
- Regularly report on the PIL R&O performance at NHI Directoire and AH executive levels.
- Manage scorecards to report on the PIL R&O performance, centralize and share information, track progress and maintain visibility on in-service issues and recovery efforts and successes.
- Lead the weekly R&O Control Tower meeting to address and resolve critical R&O orders, driving actions from partner companies.
- Co-lead with the PSO the monthly PIL meeting to report on the situation and to raise risks and opportunities at Head of Program level (ipu. President of NHI).
- Manage Work In Progress (WIP) for Dynamics, Equipment, Structure, and Blades, serving as the primary contact for all NH90 R&O critical items.
- Act as the R&O focal point with various internal departments, such as but not limited to: MRO, Spares, Procurement, Program, Product Support Office, Engineering, Logistics and Front Office.
- Represent R&O during supplier management meetings and during supplier visits.
- Travel in Europe on a monthly basis for suppliers and customers meetings.
Your profile:
- Proficient in Excel and Google Suite.
- Skilled in creating clear, concise reports for executive-level management.
- Clear communication with negotiation-level English proficiency.
- Familiarity and interest in Part 145, Part 21, Part M, aircraft maintenance plans, logistics or technical publications is a plus.
- A dose of leadership is necessary to listen, understand and convince the numerous stakeholders, that go much beyond the usual sphere of Airbus Helicopters (incl. partner companies, suppliers and final customers).
This position requires a security clearance or will require being eligible for clearance by the recognized authorities.
