Job Description:
Controls the flow of material and assets from vendors to production and repair, and ultimately to customer or manufacturing sites. Oversees the execution and continuous improvement of all logistics processes and systems. Defines and develops logistics support requirements, plans and schedules; performs life cycle cost, reliability, maintainability and availability analyses. Performs testing and analyzes technical data and reports to determine/formulate specific recommendations regarding spare/repair parts and support equipment. Ensures that milestones are achieved within existing financial constraints in order to adhere to master plans and schedules and maximize customer satisfaction. Builds relationships with manufacturing, suppliers, and customers through the resolution of delivery issues. Analyzes and provides input to drawing documentation and technical orders.
Essential Functions:
May include, but are not limited to:
- Daily supervision of four (4) CBA and one Non-Exempt employee
- Backup to the Warehouse manager and 2nd On Call for after hours warehouse matters
- Manage all Inventory and DRMO related matters
- Safety Representative for Bldg. 210 and 212
- Manage the Shipping Operation for the warehouse
- HAZMAT/CFR Certified
- Handle Over Issues, Issue Errors, QA Adjustments
- Assist with Problem resolution
- Group Training Coordination
- FedEx Power Ship certified
- Back up for Shipping Clerk
- Arrange weekly 15 minute Core Responsibilities classes
Qualifications:
- Supervises lower level professionals or supervisors and/or higher level support. Communicates with parties inside and outside of own department to explain and interpret policies, practices, and procedures. Makes moderate improvements to processes, systems, and solutions. Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with moderate impact on department results. Understands basic management approaches and has proficient knowledge of job area.
- Supervises individual(s) typically consisting of lower level professionals or supervisors and/or higher level support employees. Leads, directs and reviews the work of direct report(s) to maintain workflow and productivity and ensure weekly objectives are achieved. Provides input on hiring, firing, promotion, performance and/or compensation decisions for own organization. Reports to Associate Manager or higher.
- Communicates with parties within and outside of own department, which may include customers or vendors. Explains and interprets policies, practices and procedures of the job area to others within the organization. May work to justify and gain cooperation of other parties on practices, policies, and procedures.
- Work consists of making moderate improvements to processes, systems, solutions or products to enhance performance of the job area. Opportunities for problem solving and innovation are general and may require understanding of broader set of issues. Problems may require understanding of other job areas. Problems are typically solved drawing from prior experiences, with analysis of the issues.
- Plans and establishes operational objectives for a team with moderate impact on the achievement of department results. Assigns tasks, peer reviews and provides training. Does not have budget or Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability, but may manage day-to-day elements of the budget (e.g., overtime for staff).
- Understands basic management approaches such as work scheduling, prioritizing, coaching and process execution. Typically requires proficient knowledge of job area. Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 8 years of prior related experience.

- BSI knowledge
This position requires an Active DoD security clearance at the Secret level and must be able to maintain the clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship.
