Job Description:
Scope of Position:
Supporting Airbus’ military customer on all tasks in accordance of the aircraft’s mission preparation and flight folder management
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare mission planning and create binary database for the respective aircraft.
Perform weather data sourcing and analysis (ie: GRIB, Metar, Taf, Sigmet, Snow-tam, Wind, barometric charts and forecasts), prepare weather reports and weather data for the flight plan computation tool
Generate the Cargo Loading Plan and prepare the Weight & Balance report to be used by the crew for their flight preparation
Produce a complete Flight Folder to support the aircraft crew (Flight plan, weather, ..)
Manage the PMT (PID Management Tool) system, administrate MPRS system (Mission Planning and Restitution System)
Support the Customer in the definition of the overall IS/IT environment set up for the mission planning restitution system
Assist the customer in daily operational use of the ground support device tools in relation to the mission planning activities, acting as the first line support between the company and the Customer
Report any issues arisen for all things related to the system (hardware, software, data) to the back office and follow up on the resolution
Ensure the transfer of knowledge to the Customer’s personnel nominated performing On the Job trainings, and identify specific training need to the Customer’s knowledge
Act as a local point of contact in relation to the Flight Planning Tools (ie: MPRS, MPS, ..)
Upkeep and live Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct to be exemplary to others and to promote and increase the awareness of Airbus Values, Leadership Models and Code of Conduct.
Carry out any other task as directed by the superior.
Background and Skills:
Minimum Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science,
Aeronautical Engineering and equivalent
Minimum Experience: At least 3 years of experiences in Flight Operations and/or aviation industry
Good knowledge in aviation regulations (IATA & ICAO) and international FIRs rules
Basic IT knowledge and able to perform the system’s troubleshooting and retrieve logs reports
Those who has obtained related aerospace/aviation trainings, flight planning or aviation regulations courses is a plus
Experience in flight operations, routes planning, aviation weather formats – able to understand TAF, MET, NOTAM, etc.
Able to work autonomously, developing a sense of accountability and ownership over the tasks given
Able to commit working at flexible working hours depending on the Customer’s request
Positive attitude, Customer oriented and strong team work
